development and reform of Common Agricultural Policy (CAP)

introduction
We would like to present our position
towards the midtermreview and reform of the CAP. This position
will be proposed by Vera Dua, Minister of Agriculture and
Environment, both regional affairs and no longer national
responsabilities (since 1/1/02).
We are preparing a detailed statement at this moment. Main
point is to
reform the exportsubsidies towards sustainable agriculture,
without loss of income for the reel farmers. (support of
income or rural evelopment,
cross compliance, modulation etc).
At the same time we worked on a more longtermview on rural
areas and the new opportunities of rural areas in greening
the north.
The presentation will take 40 minutes
and afterwords debate with the
participants.
