Workshops

The organising committee of the upcoming Congress of the EFGP is looking for persons and groups to host and organise working groups.
One of the key parts of the EFGP Congress is interaction and communication among European Greens. Working groups shall catalyse this process and thus have a prominent space in the Congress. Following our understanding of a "best-practice", groups could on the one hand promote and present successful Green projects on any level - possibly in a European comparative perspective (e.g. French and Belgium Green policy on sea protection) and on the other hand discuss opportunities of Green future issues (e.g. EP election manifesto).

Working groups shall be dealing with any relevant topic organised by an interested group or person. However, we would like to draw your attention to a few subjects already in preparation for this point of the agenda:

The main framework of working group activity is on the Saturday afternoon of the Congress between 13.30h and 16.00h (see Congress agenda). Nevertheless, working groups can also convene on the Friday afternoon parallel to the fringe meetings.
To sustain the work of the working groups we would also like to encourage you to submit papers for the relevant working groups. Successful discussions require good preparation (good speakers, moderation and papers) but should also deliver results which can be presented to the broader party public. For this the Congress-website is to be used extensively.

Even though we Greens are supposed to be spontaneous in our actions, the way we organise the Congress is very "German", i.e. the earlier we know about your ideas on workshops and what you require for them, the better we can help you by providing the right infrastructure ;-)

For any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch with Jan Seifert.
